Statement no.1
School that adhere to the subject-centered approach make robot out of children.
I think, that is not the right implementation because if we talk about subject-centered you only focusing on the subject only. You have to consider the needs of  the learners, like their interest and the lesson that they have learned from you.You have to add some strategies on your lesson for you to catch their attention and for them to have a new knowledge.

 Statement no.2
In school which embrace the child-centered approach, discipline is weak.
Discipline is not weak because when you say child-centered you are focusing on the attitude of the learners. You as a Teacher help them to mold their personality as an individual.

Statement no. 3
Why should lesson revolve around problems? There are to many to solve.
The lesson is not the problem, the problem is the one who deliver the lesson because it happens when you ignore and you always tell your self that I can do it without any review. That is wrong change that attitude.
Just do the right things study your lesson and deliver it with confidence.

Is Philippine Education really deteriorating

I have two insights about that topic. First no, because it depends to the student they need more time to study harder and instinct to finish schooling.  Second  yes, some school have a higher tuition fees that cannot afford mostly in class B and C family, also government university and school with low budget. Up and down economy of course graft and corrupt government employee.
